A self-absorbed TV host (George Clooney) delivers stock tips, until a distraught truck driver (Jack O'Connell) that lost everything based on the host's bad advice holds him hostage, on air, at gunpoint. The show's producer (Julia Roberts) frantically calls for help, while the host digs for answers to his failed tips, turning the program into a different sort of reality show.
