Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is no longer a news anchor since he lost his job to his wife (Christina Applegate) and ended up emceeing at a Sea World-type facility. He's then approached by a man (Dylan Baker) who is putting together a new kind of news station and along with his news team (Paul Rudd, Steve Carell and David Koechner) makes the trip to NYC to find out what this new news idea is all about.
