A NASA time capsule sent into space riles alien ire and brings back an all-out war on Earth in the form of giant 1980s video game characters. The US President (Kevin James) enlists the help of a gaming pal (Adam Sandler) and his vintage video gamers (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to fight the aliens.
