A prehistoric society is suffering when their principal prey does not return to their hunting grounds. Fearing for the survival of the community, the lead hunter sets out to find out why, but while he's gone the community is attacked and almost all of the inhabitants are either killed or taken as slaves. One of the remaining young men (Steven Strait), along with a few companions, follows the attackers in order to save the young woman he loves (Camilla Belle).
